ROOF MOSS REMOVAL & TREATMENT
Professional Roof Cleaning That Goes Beyond Moss Removal
Moss, algae and organic growth can gradually build up across roof tiles, leaving a roof looking tired and allowing moss to collect between and beneath the tiles. Moss also retains moisture and can fall into gutters and downpipes, contributing to blockages and overflowing rainwater.
Our professional roof cleaning service removes built-up moss and organic growth before treating the roof to help control remaining spores and keep it cleaner for longer.
Every property is assessed before work begins so we can determine the condition of the roof, suitable access and the safest, most effective cleaning method.
More Than Just a Cleaner-Looking Roof
HELPS EXTEND YOUR ROOF’S LIFESPAN
Removing and treating moss, algae and organic growth helps keep roof tiles clear and reduces prolonged moisture build-up, helping to maintain the roof over the longer term.
HELPS KEEP GUTTERS CLEAR
Loose moss and debris can wash into gutters and downpipes, contributing to blockages and overflowing rainwater. Removing it at source helps keep rainwater flowing away effectively.
HELPS PREVENT DAMAGE
Moss can grow between tiles, joints and gaps, where continued growth can place unnecessary pressure on roofing materials. Keeping the roof clear helps reduce build-up that can contribute to deterioration over time.
IMPROVES KERB APPEAL
Removing years of moss, algae and organic growth can transform a tired-looking roof and give the whole property a cleaner, better-maintained appearance.
HOW WE CLEAN YOUR ROOF
Our Professional Roof Cleaning Process
We don't believe every roof should simply be pressure washed. Our approach is based on the condition of your roof, with the appropriate method determined during your site assessment.
Step 1
Assessment & Quote
We assess your roof condition, level of moss growth and access requirements, explain the recommended approach and provide a clear, no-obligation quote.
Step 4
Treatment Application
A professional HSE-compliant roof treatment is applied to target remaining organic growth and spores, helping to slow future moss, algae and lichen regrowth.
Step 2
Safe Access
We select suitable access equipment for your property, such as a mobile scaffold tower or powered access equipment, allowing us to work safely and minimise unnecessary walking on the roof.
Step 5
Gutters & Clean Down
We empty the gutters, check the downpipes and thoroughly clean down surrounding areas, removing moss and debris generated during the roof clean and leaving your property clean and tidy.
Step 3
Moss Removal & Cleaning
Depending on your roof, moss and organic growth are removed using manual scraping or controlled low-pressure steam cleaning. We'll recommend the most appropriate method during your assessment.
Step 6
Final Check
We'll complete a final check of the work and make sure you're happy with the finished result before we leave your property.
